My Haircare Routine

Image
I have never really been as passionate about my hair as I am with my makeup and skincare but I still do like to maintain pleasant hair. I use two different brands of products simultaneously. I wash my hair every second day and for the most of that I like to use the ‘Tresemme Perfectly (un)done’ Shampoo & Conditioner. I like this washing duo as I find it gives me lots of volume and that undone look. The only issue I have with these two products is that after a little while of use it makes my hair a little brittle and dry. To combat this problem I treat my hair once a week with four different products. When I was around at ‘The Reject Shop’ I came across a range of products featuring shampoo, conditioner, hair mask, treatment oil and a body butter. Each of these products are $2 each. I decided to try out the shampoo and conditioner duo and I really liked it. I went back and got the hair mask and treatment oil. This range is called the ‘Macadamia Nut Oil Extract’. Once a week I wash m

I also found this product really easy to apply and a little goes a long way. 2. The Physicians Formula cover green concealer is good as it covers redness. It is a stick concealer which I like to use over my pimples. This product provides both good coverage and lasts a long time, it also blends well.   3. I enjoy using the Savvy eyeshadow pencil as it is a very soft crayon like product. It is moderately pigmented and when used alongside an eyelid primer it lasts all da

Rimmel Mascara Comparison

Image
Hey everyone my name is Billie-Rose and in this post I am going to compare 4 different mascara's all from Rimmel. The first one is 'Wonder’full Mascara with Argan Oil Extreme Black'. I really like this product for several different reasons. Firstly I feel like the Argan Oil formula is very beneficial to the lashes. With using this product I found my lashes to feel softer, stronger, longer and darker naturally. When wearing this macara it feels quite light and doesn't smudge. The only downside that I found to this product is that it does lack a little volume. I usually apply 2-3 coats of this product to get its full level of volume out. This mascara does look quite natural though and fans out lashes, there is no clumping at all.                      The second one is ' Wonder’full Wake Me Up Mascara'. Although this is not my favourite mascara I still do enjoy using it. I like the shape and thickness of the brush as I found it to apply well and not clump. I

Rimmel Sun Shimmer Self Tanning Moose

Image
Hey everyone, my name is Billie-Rose and in this post this I want to review the 'Rimmel Sun Shimmer Self Tanning Moose. Unlike most other Rimmel products I didn't really enjoy using this product as I that it didn't really live right up to its claim. It claims to be a streak free, natural looking but no matter how I tried to apply this product it always seemed to look streaky and very unnatural. I had it in 'Dark Matte' despite my light-medium natural tone. This product does develop quite dark so if you have naturally light skin but got a medium it would probably give a nice sun kissed glow. This product dries very quickly so you have to work quickly otherwise it results in even more blotchiness. You need to leave for the full hour to develop but keep in mind it develops to roughly a full skin tone darker. This product was quite highly anticipated and has a lot of fans but I just didn't find it to work too well for me personally.

Lasting Finish By Kate Nude Collection Lipsticks

Image
I have recently received the highly anticipated Kate by Nude lipsticks. I have 3 different colours 40,42 and 45. I really enjoy using these lip products for several reasons. These lipsticks are very hydrating and smooth. They apply smoothly even onto lips even when they are on the drier side. I also like this product as I find it is very pigmented and the little colour swatch sticker on the bottom of the product matches what it really is. I also find that this product lasts on my lips for hours despite eating and drinking. These lipsticks are available in 5 different shades all of which are very soft and definitely fit in the nude range. I often exfoliate and apply clear lip balm to my lips to keep them hydrated and soft. I find that by doing this it supports smooth application and good longevity.

Rimmel Lip Product Reviews

Hi everyone my name is Billie-Rose Higgs and welcome back to my blog. I this post I am going to review two lip products both from 'Rimmel'. Firstly the 'Rimmel Lasting Finish Lipstick' is one of my favourite lip colour products. I have this lipstick in the colours '002 Candy' and '066 Heather Shimmer' which are both really nice colours. This lipstick is available in 15 different colours. I really like this lipstick firstly because of it's creamy and smooth texture. This product is not drying at all. This lip colour is very highly pigmented as well, a little goes a long way with this product. I do not think that the longevity of the product quite lives up to its claim (8 hours). I feel this product lasts a long time but not 8 hours. With eating and drinking I believe that this product lasts around 4 hours. Secondly the 'Provocalips Kiss Proof Lip Colour' is another one of my favourite lip colour products. I have this in the colour '110

Skincare Routine

Image
Hey guys my name is Billie-Rose and welcome to my blog. In this post I am going to write about my skincare routine and what I do to try and keep my oily and acne prone skin under control. But before I begin talking about the products I just want to say I am on medication at the moment to treat acne so it is not completely the products doing all the work. If you feel like your acne is getting out of control and you just can't seem to settle it down go to your doctor and ask if he/she can do anything to help. But for myself my doctor put me on Doxycycline Sandoz 50mg which are tablets. I take one a day and he also gave me a prescription for Differin cream which I apply directly to the acne every night just before bed. I feel the most important thing to do when trying to treat acne, anti-aging etc. is to have a 3 step skincare system which is carried out both morning and night consistently. I have tried sooo many different products all which claim to treat acne but I am finding

Clinque Anti-Blemish Solutions Skincare Review

Hey my name is Billie-Rose and in this post I am going to be writing about the 'Clinique Anti-Blemish Solutions' skincare range. I have very oily and acne prone skin and I have tried just about everything to treat my acne and clear up my skin. I started using sample sizes of the products and really enjoyed them so I went back and got the full size versions and I love them. Firstly the 'Cleansing Gel' is great. It comes in a light blue large tube-like bottle. Gels are my favourite kind of cleanser hence the use of the cleansing gel. I find this product to remove all excess makeup, dirt, oils etc. from my face and is very gentle on the skin. A little also goes a long way with this product which is important as it is upper priced. The anti-blemish range from Clinque also have a foaming cleaner and a bar cleanser. Secondly the 'Clarifying Lotion' (toner) is also really good. Comes in a tall, light blue bottle with a white cap. This product is gentle on the skin

Rimmel Lasting Finsh Foundations

Hi my name is Billie-Rose and this post is going to be about both of the newish 'Lasting Finish Foundations' by Rimmel London. Firstly the 'Lasting Finish 25hr Foundation with Comfort Serum' This is one of my least liked foundations. I found this product to be very heavy, thick and also very sticky on the skin. It claims to be full coverage but I once you blend it out it goes down to about a medium coverage. This broke me out a lot and didn't control my excess oil at all. It also claims to last 25hrs but I think it has trouble lasting 6 hours on my skin without going orange and/or getting patchy no matter how I try to prep my skin and set the makeup. So I probably won't finish this bottle nor will I repurchase it. On the other hand the 'Lasting Finish 25hr Nude Foundation' by Rimmel is one of my favourite foundations. This foundation claims to be medium coverage and it lives up to that. It is a buildable foundation so it can be worked up to full cove

Nude By Nature Review

Hi my name is Billie-Rose and in this post I am going to write about the Australian makeup/skincare brand 'Nude by Nature'. I first started wearing Nude By Nature when I was new to makeup and only wanted something really light and natural so I started with the 'Natural Tinted Mineral Moisturiser' and the 'Liquid Mineral Concealer'. The tinted moisturiser is very sheer. As I have used other products now and have gotten used to more coverage I find that the moisturiser is very light coverage and also hard to blend. I still do use this product though in between my primer and my loose mineral cover to give a little extra coverage and to also keep my makeup on a little longer. The concealer I really like. I find this concealer covers blemishes really well but I don't think it is amazing on dark circles. It is easy to blend and stays well on my oily skin. I don't like the 'Liquid Mineral Foundation' as I found it super hard to apply, thick, minimal cov
