March 2016 Favourites

In this post I just want to list a bunch of products that have been my holy-grail products for this past month and beyond. These products are part of my daily makeup routine and I regularly repurchase these. 1. Australis Fresh and Flawless Pressed Powder This powder is my absolute favourite of all time. I use this powder to set my liquid foundation (use a transparent powder to set under-eye concealer). This product is a foundation in itself so it provides plenty of coverage but is controllable. This product retails for $12.99 (AU) 2. Mac Mineralize Charged Water Skin Hydrating Mist This mist is my total holy grail setting spray. I also sometimes use this as a primer water but ALWAYS to set my makeup. I find this mist gives a healthy, dewy finish to the skin without making it greasy. I also think it really helps lock my makeup on all day. It also softens contour lines and makes a more flawless base. This product retails for $32 (AU) 3. Elf Contouring Blush and Bronzer Duo I boug

My Skincare Routine (Updated)

Hi my name is Billie-Rose and this is my updated skincare routine. I have oily and very acne prone skin with not a lot of sensitivity. I have tried product after product all of which claim to combat acne but not many products have really helped me. I fairly recently took advantage of priceline's 40% off skincare sale and bought the 'Biore Deep Pore Charcoal Cleanser' and the 'Biore Triple Action Toner'. I have now been using these two products for about 2-3 months now and I have noticed a significant improvement in my acne. I have been using my 'Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizer' for a couple of years now and it has been my absolute favourite and I have always been very hesitant to change it up. After I noticed some really good improvement with the new biore products I decided to also purchase some the pore strips from biore and also their 'blemish clearing face scrub'. I love both of these products as well and I find the scrub gentle enoug

Favourite Blushers, Bronzers and Highlighters

Blushers: Milani Baked Blush- My favourite blush of all time is the Milani Baked Blush in number ‘06’. I love how this blush is a mix of a peachy, coraly colour with some highlighting streaks running through it. Elf Studio Blush- I find the elf studio blushers to be really good. I do tend to use my Milani blushers more but elf is next best for me. These blushers are very pigmented and I don’t find them to apply chalky or powdery whatsoever. I apply with a blush brush and use quite a light hand as the blushers are very much pigmented.   Bronzers: Elf Blush/Bronzer Duo- I think the blush/bronzer duo from the elf studio line are a great dupe for the nars duo. The bronzer is quite dark and I use a very light hand when applying this bronzer otherwise it can leave a muddy effect. This bronzer is buildable so start small and build up.   Milani Pressed Powder: Although this product is actually a pressed powder I find it to make a great bronzer as well. These pressed po

My Everyday Products

These are just some of my favourite daily use products. Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer- I love using this concealer just after I have applied my foundation. I always apply this concealer under my eyes, on my chin and down my nose and blend with my beauty blender. I personally don't like this concealer for covering blemishes as I find it highlights them a little but it is great for brightening your face up. 2. Maybelline Unstoppable Eyeliner- This thin, retractable, crayon like eyeliner has been my holy grail eyeliner for about 3 years now. I have not come across a better eyeliner for my waterline. This liner is so easy to apply and blend and it just does not smudge. I use the colour onyx and it can provide either high definition or a more natural look. This liner also lasts ages. 3. Beauty Blender- I use my beauty blender to apply and blend my foundation and concealer every single time. The bb just applies so smoothly and gives excellent coverage. There is a lot of h

October 2015 Favourites

No particular order Avon Ideal Flawless Invisible Coverage Foundation- I really like this foundation as I found it to provide me with plenty of coverage but it still didn’t look cakey or thick on my skin. I found that applying this foundation with a beauty blender gave me the best results as it applied smooth and looked natural. I also like the wide range of shades so you are ought to find a shade that works for you. Jordana Best Lash Extreme Volumizing Mascara- This mascara gives plenty of volume and length to the lashes. I found that after going over my lashes about 3 times with this mascara they were about 3 times the length and also very volumized. This product retails for $12.00 (AU) which is very affordable and is well worth the money. Milani Baked Blush- These are the best blushes I have ever come across. I have the colours ‘08 Corallina’ and ‘06 Bellissimo Bronze. I really like using ‘08’ as a blush but also as a highlight. I sometimes use ‘06’ as I very subtle bronz

Best Foundations And BB Creams For Oily Skin

Hey everyone in this post I am going to recommend a few foundations and bb creams that have worked for me despite my oily and acne prone skin. This is just in my opinion and these are just what worked for me. Foundations Revlon Colourstay- I really like this foundation as I find the coverage to be at a high level but it doesn't look overly cakey or thick on the skin. I find that I get the best results when I apply the product with my beauty blender as I think that it helps to achieve a nice even coverage. I also noticed that this foundation stays on my skin for a full working down and never broke me out. Almay Clear Complexion - This foundation is targeted at acne prone skin. It contains 0.6% salicylic  acid which helps combat acne. Again I find that I get the best out of this foundation when I apply with my beauty blender. This foundation lasts most of the day but sometimes needs a little touching up. I didn't find a massive improvement in my acne after using this but it
