Clinque Anti-Blemish Solutions Skincare Review

Hey my name is Billie-Rose and in this post I am going to be writing about the 'Clinique Anti-Blemish Solutions' skincare range. I have very oily and acne prone skin and I have tried just about everything to treat my acne and clear up my skin. I started using sample sizes of the products and really enjoyed them so I went back and got the full size versions and I love them.

Firstly the 'Cleansing Gel' is great. It comes in a light blue large tube-like bottle. Gels are my favourite kind of cleanser hence the use of the cleansing gel. I find this product to remove all excess makeup, dirt, oils etc. from my face and is very gentle on the skin. A little also goes a long way with this product which is important as it is upper priced. The anti-blemish range from Clinque also have a foaming cleaner and a bar cleanser.

Secondly the 'Clarifying Lotion' (toner) is also really good. Comes in a tall, light blue bottle with a white cap. This product is gentle on the skin but cleans it and also helps mattify. It is a shake to activate style toner as all the good stuff sits at the bottom of the bottle so it is important to shake well before use. The only flaw for me with this product is the opening. Once you take to cap off it is just a large circle to let the product out which almost guarantees every time you use the product you will use too much.

Thirdly the 'All Over Clearing Treatment' this was one product from this range that I didn't like. You are supposed to use it in place of a moisturizer but I found it to be drying (leaving dry flakes all over my face) but at the same time oily. I only used this product for about 2 weeks before I switched to the 'Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel'. This moisturizer is amazing as a little goes a long way, hydrates but mattifies skin and I also really like the packaging as it is a cube shaped pump bottle which leaves little space for product wastage. There is also a lotion version available for drier skin types. Will re-purchase this product for sure.

So in conclusion I really like this system besides the moisturizer replacement. I have noticed a significant improvement in my acne. The price is heading towards higher end products but it's worth it.

March 2016 Favourites

In this post I just want to list a bunch of products that have been my holy-grail products for this past month and beyond. These products are part of my daily makeup routine and I regularly repurchase these. 1. Australis Fresh and Flawless Pressed Powder This powder is my absolute favourite of all time. I use this powder to set my liquid foundation (use a transparent powder to set under-eye concealer). This product is a foundation in itself so it provides plenty of coverage but is controllable. This product retails for $12.99 (AU) 2. Mac Mineralize Charged Water Skin Hydrating Mist This mist is my total holy grail setting spray. I also sometimes use this as a primer water but ALWAYS to set my makeup. I find this mist gives a healthy, dewy finish to the skin without making it greasy. October 2015 Favourites

No particular order Avon Ideal Flawless Invisible Coverage Foundation- I really like this foundation as I found it to provide me with plenty of coverage but it still didn’t look cakey or thick on my skin. I found that applying this foundation with a beauty blender gave me the best results as it applied smooth and looked natural. I also like the wide range of shades so you are ought to find a shade that works for you. Jordana Best Lash Extreme Volumizing Mascara- This mascara gives plenty of volume and length to the lashes. I found that after going over my lashes about 3 times with this mascara they were about 3 times the length and also very volumized. This product retails for $12.00 (AU) which is very affordable and is well worth the money. Milani Baked Blush- These are the best blushes I have ever come across.
